My Children's Room

As you enter the room you look beyond the (faux) rustic wood interior to the
"hundred acre wood" where Winnie the Pooh and his friends are playing.
To the left is Pooh's house where "he lives under the name of Sanders. Which
is to say that the name is painted above his door and he lives under it."
To the right is Piglets house, the welcome mat out in front of the door.

The scene was painted, as were the wooden beams of the interior. The figures
and other small elements are adhesive stickers that can be purchased at any
Toys R Us store and are copyright Disney.

On the opposite wall is another painted window, which looks out to Rabbit's carrot
garden. Rabbit's house, that hole in the ground, is to the left, behind Owl, who looks
amused at Rabbit's joyful dancing in celebration of the harvest.

The crib can be seen at the bottom of the picture, decked out in Winnie the Pooh
bedding and overhung with a Pooh Mobile.

The end of the room has a dresser/diaper changing station and wardrobe cabinet,
set off by the faux finish of weathered wood paneling.

On the ceiling the weathered wood beams are continued to create two
3' x 5' sky lites, which give a view of the sky, the clouds, and a few
friendly cartoon birds which have been painted on. The bird (above left)
that is poised over the crib points to the changing table across the room,
directing our babies where to go for a dry diaper.
