Here you can get a better look at the colors and the forms on the right side. You can begin to see the doves taking flight above the church, the city on top of the hill in the far distance, and the details of the fountain. To the right you can get a feel for the statue of venus and the balusters of the balcony railing. The same blue used for the sky was glazed onto venus as well as into the shadows of the balusters and columns of the stairs. On the staircase, the blue was then covered with a mixture of white and yellow ochre with some touches of burnt umber in the darkest areas. A similar approach was used on the cupid fountains, but using darker tones.
On to the dressing room!!
