The Artist's Lead Based Palette
A palette of colors selected by the artist in 1999 based upon
the use of lead white. At the time, the artist was investigating claims of *lead's incompatability with some other common pigments and therefore substituted those pigments with others that would not discolor. Explanation of change and sample
of the artist's work with these new paints.

* testing by the artist has since determined that these incompatibilities, which are evident in dry pigment or water-based media, do not exist when the pigment is bound in oil. (see the tests)
