Adding White
After painting in the form over the imprimatura, I added highlights in white on the girl's hair and body, as well as in the sky. White was also used to cover the entire wall and the girls white robes. This alters the color of the brown beneath and prepares the areas for final painting as objects with a predominant local color of white.
You can see how this effects the painting and begins to create volume within the work.
