ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I am inspired to paint by all that the world has to offer, in the feast of visual and emotional experience.

I am moved by the struggle between joy and sorrow; the narrative history of every human life with its challenges and victories.

Through the medium of oil paint I find versatility and freedom of expression. I enjoy the contrasts that create impact and illusion.

It is my goal to skillfully paint the essence of a thing in such a way that it touches the heart of the viewer.
