Professional Artist and Instructor Ron Sanders positions the last painting on the wall in the Juliano Room at the North Port Public Library, Biscayne Drive & US #41, in readiness for their art show Reception on September 12th, 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m., displaying Sanders' paintings and that of his students, Kitt Moran's and Carolyn Miller's artwork.

Sept. 12th is a great day for the ARTS in North Port.  At the North Port Art Center, another art reception for the "Above and Below" Art Show will be held 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m.; all three artists are members and display artwork there along with other NPAC members.   The public is invited to attend both receptions.

Jazz singer, Kitt Moran (below left), like several other well known singers is a dedicated visual artist.  Kitt's medium is oil and her subjects are as varied as her interests.  Moran has won numerous awards for her paintings including two "Best of Show".  Kitt has studied painting with a few wonderful artists; but she considers Ron Sanders PAA, her mentor and friend.  Ron is the teacher who has encouraged Kitt to find her own "Voice" in painting.

Carolyn Miller (below right) is one of Ron Sanders students who is participating in the art display.  Carolyn moved to Englewood 2 years ago from the Northwest.  Miller renewed her passion for oil painting after finding Ron Sanders, her instructor for the past year.  "His encouragement and fine art knowledge has given me the faith to keep trying to improve and develop my style naturally".
